Terms & Conditions
These Terms and Conditions form the basis of all hire agreements with Awesome Hire and apply from the point a booking is made. By confirming a booking, the client acknowledges they have read, understood, and agreed to these terms in full.
1. Booking & Confirmation
A booking is considered confirmed when a date, delivery time, and pricing have been agreed between Awesome Hire and the client, and payment has been received in full or a non-refundable deposit has been paid.
We assume that all clients have reviewed and accepted these terms at the time of booking, whether the booking is made verbally, via email, or online.
We will always try to accommodate reasonable requests to change booking dates or times. However, this is subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed.
2. Payment Terms
All hires must be paid for in full prior to the event date unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Payment methods accepted:
Prices are subject to VAT unless stated otherwise and may vary depending on hire duration, equipment selected, and event location.
For high-value bookings or clients without a trading history, we may require part or full payment in advance. Clients operating outside of the UK may also be asked to pay upfront.
3. Cancellations & Refunds
Awesome Hire maintains a strict no-refund policy once a booking has been confirmed.
If a cancellation is required by the client:
-
It must be made by phone during standard office hours.
-
A confirmation email will be sent to you as proof of cancellation — please retain this for your records.
-
We do not accept cancellations by voicemail, text, or email alone.
The following cancellation charges apply:
In rare circumstances where Awesome Hire must cancel due to reasons beyond our control (e.g. vehicle breakdown, equipment failure, or staff shortages), a full refund will be offered. Please note: cancellations due to health and safety issues, unsuitable surfaces, or insufficient space are not refundable, as these are confirmed by the client before booking.
4. Delivery, Setup & Collection
Delivery, installation, and collection will be carried out by Awesome Hire within a mutually agreed time slot between 7:00am and 9:00pm.
It is the client’s responsibility to ensure the delivery location is accessible and suitable. If access is restricted or unsafe — including excessive distances, stairs, or poor surfaces — we reserve the right to cancel setup without compensation.
Equipment will be installed in one agreed location and must not be moved once set up.
5. Equipment Responsibility & Use
All equipment remains the property of Awesome Hire at all times.
While equipment is on hire, the client agrees to:
-
Keep it secure and in good condition (fair wear and tear accepted)
-
Operate it with care and in line with provided instructions
-
Not move, alter, sub-hire, or sell the equipment
-
Allow access for inspection or retrieval if requested
-
Ensure all labels or branding on equipment remain intact and visible
Any misuse, tampering, or unauthorised relocation of equipment may result in immediate termination of the hire, with no refund issued.
In dry hire situations (where equipment is not operated by Awesome Hire staff), the client accepts full liability for the safety and safekeeping of the equipment, and any associated loss or damage.
6. Conduct & Safety
All users engage with our equipment at their own risk. Awesome Hire accepts no responsibility for injury, damage, or loss resulting from misuse, neglect, or failure to follow safety guidance.
If, at any time, our team witnesses dangerous behaviour, aggressive conduct, or risks to guests or equipment, we reserve the right to immediately cease operation and remove equipment without refund.
It is the client’s responsibility to ensure proper supervision, security, and crowd control measures are in place before and during the event.
7. Insurance & Liability
Awesome Hire holds full public liability insurance for events where our staff are present (wet hire).
Dry hire equipment is not covered under our insurance. Clients must arrange their own insurance for such hires.
We accept no liability for loss of personal property or any incident occurring outside the use of our equipment by our team.
8. Governing Law
This agreement is governed by the laws of England. Both parties agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
